Home from Vegas

Well, I'm back. Vegas was just amazing. TAM 4 was fascinating. Pretty much every speaker just blew us away. About half way through Carolyn Porco's talk (she's one of the rocket scientists working on getting pictures of Saturn), I scribbled a note to Christian saying "I've wasted my life."

And I pretty much have :) Oh well. At least I got to play poker! Oh yeah, I played ACTUAL Texas Hold-Em ($1/$2 blinds) in an ACTUAL Vegas casino (Luxor). Of course, I ACTUALLY lost about $60 but it was SO much fun. And the best part was the Christian did REALLY well and not only covered my losses but made extra money as well.

It was definitely a high point of the week. Even better than meeting the Mythbusters, maybe!

Anyway, I'm wiped out and it's time for bed. Looks like this is going to be an ugly week, work-wise. Bleah.
