Back. On. The. Road.
Why do I keep doing this to myself? I'm travelling again - off to New Jersey for a spontaneous family reunion that broke out unexpectedly. I don't get how this keeps happening but it does...
Read the new Harry Potter on Sunday. I liked it a lot... See the bottom of my post for my spoiler-full thoughts on it.
Other than that, things remain the same, just busier. It seems that life has suddenly gotten into full swing and there aren't enough non-work hours in the day! I'm going to French class tonight - should be a lot of fun but I'm not looking forward to the drive downtown!
I should probably go finish up the last bits of work I have to do before I leave...
More from New York, probably...
[Harry Potter Book 6 - SPOLIER ALERT - DON'T READ UNLESS YOU HAVE FINISHED THE BOOK]
I thought it was a strange combination. On one hand, much lighter and more fun to read than Book 5. Harry stopped being a rude adolescent and clearly grew up but still is going through all the oddness of falling in love and dealing with friendships as they grow.
The ease of reading just made the horrible ending worse, though. I guess I knew that Dumbledore had to die but I had somehow convinced myself that it wouldn't happen until Book 7. And, of course, the biggest shock was that Snape was actually the asshole he'd been behaving like for the past 6 years.
Lots of people said they were crying at the end and I have to admit, the funeral scene got me teary-eyed.
But seriously, people, does anyone REALLY believe that he and Ginny are broken up for good? I don't think so...
[SPOILERS OVER]
