Bags Packed. Ready to go.

Well, I'm off to South Africa today. Very excited and fairly stressed about the looooong trip ahead but I'm as ready as I can be, I suppose. The news from the folks already there is that Internet access is flaky but we'll get it at work, eventually. I'll try to blog as often as I can and upload photos.

I'm flying British Airways and going through London (arrive in Gatwick, fly out of Heathrow). Not exactly the best time to be flying through London's airports but I just read that they are relaxing the hand baggage restrictions starting Friday (the day I will be flying through) so hopefully that's a good omen.

I'm totally going to try to smuggle in my chapstick :)
