Input!!

So much input lately! In the past week, I've seen Serenity, Mirrormask and Corpse Bride. Plus Curse of the Were-Rabbit this weekend. Good stuff. Overall thoughts? Serenity was brilliant, all around. Mirrormask was visually stunning - absolutely perfect and the story, while not completely original, was very good. I need to see it again - it was beautiful - unlike anything that anyone's seen before. Of course, I think that was to be expected.

Just saw Corpse Bride today. I liked it, although after Mirrormask and the clips I've seen from Were-Rabbit, I kept noticing all the technical flaws in the animation... It was a bit predictable but fun all the same.

My friend Georgia is in town for a couple days. It's been great to have her although she's flying on a buddy pass so now we're going through the usual stress of whether she'll make a flight home or not. Plus, James is supposed to get into town tomorrow and he's on a buddy pass as well so there's double stress on that. Assuming he gets here, we've got a LOT planned. Saturday is the Light the Night walk plus we've got tickets to see Dar Williams!

The only bummer is that Christian is going out of town on a business trip so he won't get to partake in any of the fun this weekend, plus he'll miss James. This sucks but really, James is here to see me so I guess it doesn't matter too much ;-)

And I've already told him that I'm going to see Were-Rabbit without him and he's agreed and is going to see it in Boston without me so that all works out fine...

Japanese Steak House for dinner tonight. Hopefully they'll throw stuff at Georgia! :-) More when I can!
