Vegas Baby!

We're in Vegas! Woo Hoo!

We got in yesterday and spent a lot of time wandering around and looking at lights. Yesterday was pretty busy. We went to the Star Trek Experience and got our geek on in a big way. Talked to Klingons and drank Romulan Ale and felt...well fairly superior to everyone around us...

Then we wandered around the strip and finally went to see Penn & Teller. What a blast! Their show was just amazing. They showed us how to do a bunch of the standard magician tricks. Then they showed us a bunch of stuff that they do that wasy WAYY better than the standard stuff. But of course, they didn't tell us how that all worked :) The grand finale was when they shot each other with handguns and caught the bullets in their teeth. Really cool.

We're actually here for The Amazing Meeting 4 - a big skeptics convention held by James Randi. It's going to be a lot of fun - the Mythbusters, Penn & Teller, James Randi, Michael Shermer and a whole bunch of other interesting people are going to be here. I thought everything started on Friday so we were planning on going to the Grand Canyon today. However, I just checked the schedule and it turns out it actually starts this afternoon.

So we did some quick recalculation and C is going to return the car today and we're going to get it again on Sunday. So we'll do the Grand Canyon on Sunday instead.

We haven't done any gambling yet but I'm hoping to do some soon. :)

I'll post when I can. Unfortunately, this place charges up the wazoo for wireless access so I am using dial up (bleah). But I'm checking in periodically.
