Stupid aged muscles...

We spent the weekend in Huntsville where we really didn't do a whole lot other than eat, sleep, watch Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and listened to the various joys and woes of Christian's family. By Sunday morning, I was feeling overfed and bloated so I decided to try to go for a run. This is a big deal since I've never actually run outside - so far, I've been on the treadmill so it was pretty cool. I did OK for the most part - I somehow hurt my thigh muscle that I had hurt when I fell on the treadmill a few weeks ago. That, plus I had slept funny and my neck was hurting, so I spent most of yesterday feeling uncomfortable. Woke up this morning and was feeling a lot better but I got in the shower, bent down to shave a leg and threw my back out.

The good news is that my thigh and neck aren't hurting anymore! The bad news is, I can't really walk :) I was all proud of myself yesterday and planning how I was going to try to find a 5K to run next year as a goal. Irony is a cruel thing, isn't it? Or is that karma...?

Anyway, so I am unexpectedly spending today working from home. I didn't have any meetings so it worked out OK but I have a bunch of work to do. So I guess I better get to it!
